OpenELEC will recognise it as a Sony CSD282, but this is ok)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Just follow the below guide to get it up and running;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>First you must install the Backend server \u2013 this is what controls the TV tuner card, grabs the channel etc &#8230;.\n<ul>\n<li>This add on needs to be installed from with in the XBMC Add-on Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to &#8211; Settings &gt; Add-ons &gt; Get add-ons &gt; OpenELEC Mediacenter OS Add-ons &gt; Services<\/li>\n<li>Select tvheadend<\/li>\n<li>Click Install<\/li>\n<li>Reboot your machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Second you need to install the front end\n<ul>\n<li>Go to &#8211; Settings &gt; Live TV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Select Enabled.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0A small message box will appear telling you need to install at least one PVR Client<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Select OK.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down the list and select \u201ctvheadend\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Click Enable.<\/li>\n<li>Go back to the home screen<\/li>\n<li>Reboot the machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Last you need to setup your tuner card on the backend server \u2013 this is done via a web interface.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>From within a web browser type in the following changing the &#8220;ipaddress&#8221; for the address of the device running OpenELEC\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/ipaddress:9981\/\">http:\/\/ipaddress:9981<\/a> e.g. <a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.1.2:9981\/\">http:\/\/192.168.1.2:9981<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You are should now see the following interface.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vennercorp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Image2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1147\" alt=\"OpenElec Live TV\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vennercorp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Image2-300x136.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"136\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vennercorp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Image2-300x136.png 300w, https:\/\/www.vennercorp.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Image2.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Go to &gt; Configuration &gt; DVB Inputs &gt; TV Adaptors.<\/li>\n<li>Select the drop down menu and choose your TV tuner.\n<ul>\n<li>Enable \u201cAutodetect muxes\u201d and \u201cIdle scanning\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click Save.<\/li>\n<li>On the left you will see a button marked \u201cAdd DVB Network by location\u201d. \u2013 Click it\n<ul>\n<li>Select your country<\/li>\n<li>Select the Transmitter that is nearest for you.\n<ul>\n<li>If your in the UK you can use the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ukfree.tv\/\">http:\/\/www.ukfree.tv<\/a> to find your transmitter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201dAdd DVB Network\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Wait for \u201cMuxes awaiting initial scan\u201d to become 0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cMap DVB services to channels\u201d button.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cchannel \/ DVB\u201d button, you should see a list of all the channels your box has found.\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>If there are no channels showing give it a few minutes to finish scanning.<\/li>\n<li>If there are still no channels showing check that you have selected the correct transmitter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>If some of the channels are missing you might need to add a Multiplex manually &#8211; for example the UK crystal palace transmitter is currently missing the HD multiplex, you have to add this manually.\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>Go to &gt; Configuration, DVB Inputs &gt; Multiplexes<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201cAdd mux(es) manually\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Enter the details of the missing mux.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the Frequency of the e.g. for the crystal palace HD multiplex enter 546000.<\/li>\n<li>Leave all the other options as Auto.<\/li>\n<li>Click add.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Reboot the machine.<\/p>\n<p>That is it, your device should now be up and running if you go to to your home screen you should see a Live TV button &#8211;\u00a0 go into this section to watch live tv or setup recordings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>For more Tutorials and Hints &amp;
