How to set up remote desktop on windows XP, Vista and 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Click your Start button<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. In the search box type systempropertiesremote <\/strong>and press enter.<\/li>\n
  3. A window will appear asking if you would like to allow access \u2013 Click Allow<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. You should now have the system properties window open on your screen with the Remote Tab<\/strong> selected. (If the remote tab is not selected, then please select it.)\"how<\/a><\/li>\n
  5. At the bottom you have 3 options for setting up remote desktop access.\n
      \n
    1. Don\u2019t allow remote connections \u2013 Turn off remote access<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Allow connection from any version of remote desktop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Select this is you are connecting from XP<\/strong> or from an Iphone<\/strong> or Ipad<\/strong>.
      \nSelect this is you are only going to be connecting from windows vista or\u00a0 higher<\/strong>, or your preferred remote desktop connection software supports NLA.<\/p>\n

      1. Allow connections only from Remote Desktop with NLA.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        1. Click Apply<\/strong> at the bottom right.<\/li>\n
        2. Your current profile will have automatically been added to the authorised user list.<\/li>\n
        3. To add another account or remove an account click \u201cSelect Users\u2026\u201d, another window will appear. This window will display any authorised users.\n
            \n
          1. To Add an account.<\/strong><\/li>\n
          2. Click Add<\/strong>, another window will appear in the bottom box marked \u201cEnter the object names to select<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n
          3. Type in the account name you wish to add.<\/li>\n
          4. Click Check Names.<\/strong><\/li>\n
          5. If the account name is valid it will change to Computername\/accountname.<\/li>\n
          6. If it is not valid an error window will appear called \u201cName not Found<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n
          7. When happy click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          8. To Remove an account<\/strong>, select the requested account and click remove<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            1. Your Pc is now ready to accept remote connections.<\/li>\n
            2. When you connect remotely you will need to type in an authorised account name and its password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
