    Apple Stops Selling iPod’s!Apple Stop selling Ipods after 16 years

    After 16 years Apple have stopped selling all their basic iPod’s and only selling their Touch model!

    They have quickly withdrawn their popular basic Nano and Shuffle iPod from their website, leaving just their touch model. The touch is an IOS device and is basically just an iPhone without the phone part. This will annoy a lot of people who just want a basic device to play their music while running or on the beach. The Touch of course will do that but it is a lot larger, heavier, fragile and its battery life is tiny compared to the Nano or Shuffle.

    The iPod nano and shuffle will still be available from third party stores such as amazon until their stocks run out. If you are very attached to your older device it might be worth picking up a spare until while you still can.

    How do I turn my Iphone into a USB Modem?

    How do I sync calendars between 2 iPhones?

    Luckily it is extremely easy to turn your Iphone into a wireless modem in order to connect your laptop / PC /  Device to the internet.

    First thing is to make sure your phone line provider has enabled Hot spotting, if not you will need to get them to enable it.

    Now go into your Iphone’s Settings menu scroll down to Personal Hotspot, go into this section and turn on the Hotspot and select USB only.

    Now connect your USB lead to the bottom of the Iphone and the other end to your Laptop / PC / Device. It will then install some drivers and connect you to the internet.

    Thats it, you can also connect to the internet via WIFI and or Bluetooth if you setup the other options in the Personal Hotspot menu.

    What are the Default Apple Admin Passwords?

    Below are all the default usernames and passwords for Apple devices; Often default passwords are needed either when you try to access a new device you have just purchased or if you have had to do a factory reset after a failed bios update or perhaps you have forgotten the user name and or password you created for your device.

    The problem is more often or not when you actually need to dig out the paperwork that came with the device you purchased 5 years ago you find it has gone walkie s. That is where the list below comes in it shows all the passwords and usernames for each model, even if your device is not mentioned as its a newer model or a new type of device by the manufacturer you should be able to see a pattern to guess the likely default password.

    How to add Japanese holidays to my iphone calender

    Below is a simple guide to enable you to easily add the future and past national holiday dates for Japan (Japanese) to your Iphone or Ipad.

    Apple provides a useful feature in IOS 4 and greater that allows you to subscribe to any Public Internet Calendar.

    They also very kindly provide a number if calenders ready for you to import.

    Follow the steps below.

    • Unlock your Iphone or Ipad.How to add Japanese holidays to my iphone calender
    • Tap the “Settings” Icon.
    • Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”.
    • Scroll down and tap “Add Account”.
    • Tap “Other”.
    • Tap “Add Subscribed Calendar”.
    • Locate the server field input box and enter the URL of the calendar

    Portugal – webcal://files.apple.com/calendars/Japanese32Holidays.ics

    • Tap “Next”.
    • If you want to you can change the name of the calendar on the next screen under “description”
    •  When you are happy Tap “save”.

     

    You now have every Portuguese Holiday in the Iphone or Ipad Calendar app. They are viewable just like any other appointment.

     

    You can also use the same method above to import holidays onto your Ipad, outlook and Google Calendars.

    How do I sync calendars between 2 iPhones?

    Unfortunately Apple does not currently provide a direct method within IOS for syncing 2 or more Iphones, Ipads, Ipods etc with each other.

    The easiest and simplest  method is just to sync the devices to the same service

    e.g. Google Calender, ICloud, Microsoft exchange….

    But that does mean sharing a single account with someone else, if you don’t want to do this you could set up multiple calendars on your device –  a shared (synced) calender and a private calender. (when adding events you can select which calender you wish to add them to)

    How Do I back up my IPhone on Itunes?

    It should be fairly easy and straight forward for you to take a backup of your Iphone or Ipad for emergency’s in the future, if you follow the instructions below.

    1. Make sure you have Itunes installed on your PC/Laptop and it is the latest version.
    2. Open up Itunes.
    3. Connect your Iphone or Ipad to your apple lead and pop the other end to the USB socket.
    4. Once your device has been detected and is shown as available in the left hand menu you have 2 choices.How Do I back up my IPhone on Itunes?
    • Option 1 – Click the File menu and Select Devices > Backup
    • Option 2 – Select the device from the menu on the left.
    • Open the summery tab
    • Click the Backup button and follow the instructions.

    How do i reset my Iphone Password?

    It should be fairly easy for you to reset your Iphone Password  just follow the simple instructions below.

    These instructions should work for Ipads and Ipods as well.

    You need to run the instructions below from a pc / laptop that you have recently used to sync/backup your idevice.

    If you run the instructions from a new pc/laptop then you will loose everything on the device as you will need to restore as new.

    1. Make sure your Copy of Itunes on your PC / Laptop is up todate.
    2. Open Itunes.How do i reset my Iphone Password?
    3. Connect your Iphone to your PC / Laptop
    4. When your Idevice appears in the devices section select it.
    5. Select the Summery Tab
    6. Click Restore.
    7. Click Restore when prompted by Itunes.
    8. When asked if you would like to restore a backup or restore as new select restore from a backup.

     

    This should reset your password, if  this fails you will need to restore as new but you will loose everything on the phone.

    How do i Report Problems with the Map in IOS 6?

    It should be fairly easy for you to reports errors and problems with the new apple maps software  on your Iphone  or Ipad to Apple just follow the simple instructions below.

     

    1. Unlock your Iphone.
    2. Tap the maps app.How do i Report Problems with the Map in IOS 6?
    3. Go to the area of the map with the error.
    4. Peal back the map layer, at the top of the exposed area is a link to report the map problem.
    5. Click the link and fill in the form that has been loaded.
    6. Method 2: click the blue icon on the label that appears when you tap a pin.
    7. Click the reports problem link and fill in the form.

    How do i Restore the iOS software on my IPHONE? 

    How do i Restore the iOS software on my IPHONE or IPAD?

    It is fairly straight forward and easy to restore the iOS software on your IPHONE or IPAD, just follow the instructions below in order.

    First you need to make sure you have the most update version of Itunes installed on your laptop or PC, 2nd make sure you have taken a backup of all your data – once you have completed a restore all your data, pictures, settings, etc will have been deleted permanently.

    1. Open Itunes.How do i Restore the iOS software on my IPHONE?
    2. Plug your apple cable into your PC / Laptop and your Iphone / Ipad.
    3. Shortly you should hear a beep and your Iphone / Ipad will appear in under the devices tab in Itunes.
    4. Select your phone or tablet.
    5. Navigate to the “summery” tab.
    6. Click the Restore button.
    7. After the device has been restored it will restart.
    8. You should not see a “slide to setup” bar.
    9. Slide this and follow the instructions.

    Note: – If your Iphone or Ipad keeps restarting, not working or displays the apple logo, then you will need to but the device into recovery mode. See here our article here.
